Letter from our President
WHO WE ARE
Welcome to the website of Iota Nu Omega!
Greetings from the Iota Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Our chapter was chartered in November 1972 and recently celebrated 50 amazing years of service to our community and to all mankind. Iota Nu Omega consists of a dynamic group of college educated women who represent various professions, backgrounds, and ages. Each of us shares our skills to strengthen the community we serve. We are especially proud to have two of our original charter members as active members of our chapter.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. was founded in 1908 and is the oldest sorority established by African American women in the country. Under the leadership of our 31st International President and CEO, Ms. Danette Anthony Reed, we are working hard to implement our program initiatives by empowering our families, strengthening our sisterhood, enhancing our environment, and building our economic wealth. We uplift our local community and advocate for social justice.
We invite you to explore our website so you can learn more about Iota Nu Omega and think of ways you might support us in our work as we make a positive impact on our community.
In Sisterhood and Service,
Dr. Sharon A. Brangman
