At the Iota Nu Omega Chapter, our mission is a local reflection of a global legacy. Since 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has been defined by its unwavering commitment to service and the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood.
Today, we proudly align our local efforts with the 2022–2026 International Theme: Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood. We are more than just a chapter; we are a vital link in a chain of over 120,000 active members dedicated to leading on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.
Our Foundation: Strengthen Our Sisterhood
Before we can serve our community, we must nourish the bonds within. As our Foundation Initiative, we prioritize the internal strength of our chapter. By cultivating a supportive and unified sisterhood, we create the necessary infrastructure to power our ambitious service mission.
Our Program Initiatives
In stride with our International President’s vision, our chapter actively implements the five Program Initiatives designed to address the most pressing needs of our time:
Empower Our Families: We focus on supporting the family unit as the bedrock of a healthy community.
Build Our Economic Wealth: We champion financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and the growth of Black businesses.
Enhance Our Environment: We advocate for environmental justice and sustainable practices to protect our planet.
Advocate for Social Justice: We stand as a voice for the voiceless, focusing on voter education, equity, and legislative change.
